US Children of Earth broadcast date set

BBC America has put US fans out of their misery by confirming that the third series of Torchwood, Children of Earth, will kick off in the States on Monday 20th July 2009 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

While there’s still no official news regarding the United Kingdom’s transmission date for the mini-series, which will air over five consecutive nights on BBC One and BBC HD, it’ll probably be around the same time as in America, give or take a few weeks, because it’s previously been announced that the UK will be airing the story at the same time as BBC America.

Children of Earth rejoins Captain Jack, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of their two closest friends, Toshiko Sato and Owen Harper. But they’ve got no time to grieve, because they’ve still got a job to do - and this time the team are faced with their fiercest threat to date, and one which will no doubt change the future of Torchwood, and the entire human race, forever. As they battling against the odds, is it too late to save mankind? They are coming - and Torchwood is ready!
