Ashes to Ashes, starring Philip Glenister as Gene Hunt, will return for a third and final series, the BBC has confirmed. Producers have revealed the climax of the next series will reveal who the character Gene Hunt really is. The finale of the current series, which is set in 1981, will be broadcast on Monday at 9pm.
