The News of the World has claimed that Hannah Murray has been cast in the role of the Eleventh Doctor’s new companion.
According to the report, the young actress, who played OCD-sufferer Cassie Ainsworth in E4’s Skins, will jump onboard the TARDIS alongside Matt Smith for the fifth series of the programme in 2010.
“Hannah did some challenging stuff in Skins and they see her as an up-and-comer,” a source told the newspaper.
As always, treat this with a pinch of salt until there’s any official word from the BBC!
