David Walliams has sparked rumours that he is to become the next Doctor, after revealing that he would accept the role if it were offered to him.
The Little Britain star admitted that he was a huge fan of the show, and has now made his way onto the shortlist of the potential replacements for David Tennant.Bookmakers William Hill have slashed the odds on him being the next Time Lord.
His odds have been cut from 33-1 to just 8-1."We had a bit of money suddenly put on David Walliams 15 days ago and then we had a flood of bets," a spokesman for William Hild told The Telegraph. "His name had come out of the blue but these are quite significant moves in the market."
