This year’s Easter episode, Planet of the Dead, will be released on Blu-ray on June 29th 2009.
The first of this year’s specials, which saw the Doctor finding himself on a mysterious desert-planet after the London bus he was riding on took a substantial detour into danger, was the first Doctor Who episode to be filmed in High-definition, and will also be the first to be released in the Blu-ray format.
The episode will also be released on DVD on the same day.
