New Enemy reveled for Plane Of the Dead

He's dealt with some tough baddies, but Doctor Who will face his scariest yet - a halfman half-fly creature.

Called the Tritovore, it will be unleashed in the Easter special to do battle with the Timelord and sidekick Lady Christina de Souza - played by former EastEnders star Michelle Ryan.

Bosses want the monster to become as iconic as the Daleks and Cybermen.

A set source said: "Scriptwriters are confident they'll make a huge impact.

"Everyone remembers the Daleks and the Cyberman, but not a lot else if they're honest.

"The Tritovore will change that. They are disgusting and will last long in the memory."

Series boss Russell T Davies is hoping to use the creatures in three other special shows.

David Tennant quits as the doctor this year. The source added: "Russell is telling everybody to expect some real surprises. He wants him to go out with a bang."

The enemy for the Doctor Who easter special, Planet of the Dead, has been revealed - look out for the half-human half-fly like creatures called the Tritivore! They are supposed to be the scariest yet too!

Russell T Davies did say they the monsters will have a ten letter name, and Tritivore has only nine letters, so is it a misspelling, or has the name just been guessed by the Daily Mirror, after all we know they fly from the filming reports!

This year's Easter special, Planet of the Dead, will feature a new monster called the Tritovore, according to The Mirror.

The reports claims that the villain, described by show sources as being a 'half-man half-fly creature' will be the Doctor's most challenging nemesis yet.

"They are disgusting and will last long in the memory," said the source.

It's hoped that the Tritovore will become as iconic as the Daleks and the Cybermen.

"Everyone remembers the Daleks and the Cyberman, but not a lot else if they're honest. The Tritovore will change that," the source continued.

They added: "Scriptwriters are confident that they'll make a huge impact."
